White UFC 127 vlog: Recovering from broken eye, Koscheck is surfing!

Dana White's latest vlog takes the viewer from Hawaii to Sydney. White arrives in Australia and hits Bondi beach where UFC fighters and Octagon girls are surfing.

That's right Brittney Palmer and Arianny Celeste are soaking wet in bathing suits (3:00 mark).

The craziest scene is seeing Josh Koscheck emerging from the water (4:05 mark).

That's the same Koscheck, who suffered a broken orbital bone against Georges St. Pierre at UFC 124 in early December. Koscheck tells White the eye is doing fine but he still feels numbness on the right side of his face and teeth at times. He's surfing? That's nuts. Koscheck says he still has five months of recovery ahead. 

On a side note, Tiki Ghosn also saved White's life ... twice (2:08 mark).

Liz Carmouche to Challenge Marloes Coenen; Miesha Tate Injured

by Michael David SmithJust 10 days before she's set to defend her Strikeforce title belt for the first time, Marloes Coenen has been given a new opponent.

Liz Carmouche will fight Coenen for the Strikeforce women's 135-pound title, replacing Miesha Tate, who suffered a knee injury in training.

Carmouche is 5-0 and is coming off an impressive third-round TKO win over Jan Finney on a November Strikeforce Challengers card. She's also got a good personal story that Strikeforce can sell, as a former Marine and Iraq War veteran. But Carmouche isn't quite on Tate's level, and she'll have to be considered a major underdog against Coenen.

UFC 127 video analysis: What's next for Fitch and Penn?

Jon Fitch and B.J. Penn battled for 15 minutes, with little determined after the fight was scored a majority draw. Penn had his moments in the first two rounds, while Fitch completed dominated the third. Wouldn't it be nice for all MMA main events to be five-rounders regardless of whether there's a title on the line?

That's not the case now and this draw leaves the UFC's welterweight division with a lot of question marks.

Adam Hill from the Las Vegas Review-Journal joined us to break down the scoring and what the future looks like in the UFC's welterweight division.

UFC 127 Predictions

by Michael David SmithThe Octagon is Down Under again this weekend for UFC 127, a fight card that is a step down in quality from the star-studded UFC 126 card of three weeks earlier, but does have a main event that pairs off two of the best fighters in the world in B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch.

When: Saturday, the pay-per-view starts at 10 PM ET (Sunday afternoon in Australia)

Where: Acer Arena, Sydney, Australia
