If the thousands of screaming Brazilian fans at HSBC Arena didn't convince you of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira's popularity in Brazil, this backstage video of Nogueira's friends and teammates celebrating after his win will.

Filmed by Gesias "J.Z." Cavalcante, it shows the room erupt at Nogueira's win, and the several men grow emotional as the noise dies down. Anderson Silva, who was less than an hour from his own big win, grew emotional from seeing his friend win.

This video reminds us that all the talk that fighters give to the team in MMA is not lip-service. Nogueira's win didn't just belong to him, but to everyone who helped him -- or he helped -- along the way.

Caught on video: Solid Muay Thai game pays off for Memphis security guard

Don't call them rent-a-cops anymore. There are some highly trained security guards around the country especially those who've watched a little mixed martial arts.

Check out this wild scene in Tennessee where an off-duty Memphis Area Transit Authority guard took on some idiot named Morgan Turner.

According to officials the fracas was absolutely necessitated by Turner:

MATA says the fight started after the guard received complaints that Turner was harassing women outside the bus terminal on Main Street.

ABC24 provided the video and did a follow up with some local fighters to ask about the guard's technique.

Fighter Ladarius Miller says he's trained with the guard, known as "Karate" to his buddies. He was shocked by the video.

"The fight�ain't his fault. It ain't surprising in how he fights, but I'm surprised it's him," says Miller. "Watch it, Inside leg kick. Check out the hook.� You see the hook? You see the hook? Look at the upper cut. "

Another local fighter Brian Hall could tell "Karate" had some training.

"The suspect had his hands down and the guard had his hands up," says Hall,�"and that right there should have told him, I don't want to mess with this guy," said Hall.

No charges were filed against the victim of the butt kicking or the guard. The MATA officer has been reassigned to a new location.

Rua or Griffin? Evans says Forrest, video experts like ?Shogun?

The most intriguing fight at UFC 134 might be Mauricio "Rua" Shogun against Forrest Griffin. Griffin manhandled Rua at UFC 76. Yet he's a huge underdog heading to the fight in Rio De Janeiro. Remember this is also the same Rua who was destroyed by Jon Jones back in March. So who wins? Fellow UFC light heavyweight star Rashad Evans sees a repeat of the first meeting.

"There's something that happens in a fight sometimes, and the way Forrest beat him the first time, he took a piece of him with him. And when you take a piece of somebody with you?well, Shogun recognizes that. I think they might pick up right where they left off, because there's no fear. That's gone. You know, Forrest is going to go in there, and Forrest is going to push the pace. Let's be honest here. Shogun does not have the best conditioning. I think that was a problem in their first fight, and I think it's going to be a problem in this second fight."

RawVegas.tv panelists Damon Martin (MMAWeekly.com) and Larry Pepe (ProMMARadio.com) don't agree with Evans. They're both worried about Griffin's passion for the fight game.

UFC 134 a huge hit: Beach workouts, huge crowds, radio and Times Square viewing

The UFC made it a priority to return to Brazil. Well, the time is here and it looks like the first event since 1998 is paying off in big ways.

Yesterday's workout on Copacabana beach was insane. Anderson Silva got a rock star's greeting. By the looks of these photos from MMAjunkie, the crowd stuck around for most of the fighters who were working out.

There's also now talk of an August return in 2012 where an event may be held outside at a stadium. Initial reports place the mega-card in Manaus where the city's "sambodrome" at the Convention Center can hold upwards of 100,000.

Meanwhile, back here in the U.S. The UFC continues to take steps to creep into the mainstream. The promotion is going to show the preliminary fights on big screens in midtown Manhattan:

UFC 134's bouts will be screened for thousands in Times Square's Little Brazil ? reflective of the fight's base in Rio de Janeiro and the Brazilian birthplace of mixed martial arts. Spike TV's preliminary fights will broadcast on the digital sign above The Doubletree Hotel on the East side of Duffy Square's red steps, 47th Street & 7th Ave Saturday, August 27 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m EST. Never before has UFC offered a viewing of this magnitude.

After celebrating in the streets of Times Square, fans and interested viewers are encouraged to finish watching the fight at neighboring bars in Little Brazil such as Bowlmor Times Square (W 44th between 7th and 8th Aves.).

Dana White also broke the news that UFC fights will be debuting on radio as well. In a conversation with the "Petros and Money Show" on FoxSportsRadio, it was confirmed the fight's broadcast will be simulcast in some form on the network (1:40 mark).

"We're going to put these fights live on the radio, which really hasn't been done since the old days before television when everyone would sit around and listen to the big fights from MSG. We're going to bring that back," said White.

White also spoke at length about the FOX deal and ruffling feathers a bit at ESPN.
