Ready to see a sight you never thought you'd see?

UFC president Dana White wearing a Strikeforce shirt. Yes, he is now the partial owner of the promotion, but it's bizarre to see the man who once called them "Strikefarce" to now wear their gear and attend their shows. Tonight's "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley" card is the first main event under Strikeforce's new ownership. We'll see if it's "business as usual," as White said it would be.

UFC 129 Predictions

by Michael David SmithOne of the biggest mixed martial arts cards in history takes place on Saturday night, with the UFC smashing its attendance record by selling 55,000 tickets to fans who will get to see the UFC's most popular fighter, Georges St-Pierre, defend his welterweight belt against challenger Jake Shields.

What: UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields

When: Saturday, the Facebook stream starts at 6PM ET, the Spike TV fights start at 8 and the pay-per-view fights start at 9.

Where: Rogers Centre, Toronto

If he is to be believed -- and I believe him -- this weekend, we will see Randy Couture fight for the final time. That means it will also be the last time he has a walkout shirt. Behold, the final Couture walkout shirt:

It's a typical Randy shirt. Not in my taste, but ... OK. It's ugly. I like the chevrons, which are a nod to Couture's service in the Army, but that's about it. Now you can apply online to fight in the UFC

Like many companies, the UFC has turned to an online hiring system. Job applicants are asked to submit their resumes online for jobs in marketing, operations and fighting. Wait, really?

Yep. You can apply to be a fighter through its online system. Fill out its application with your details, your manager's details, your weight class and your online fighting profile -- through sites like Sherdog or Wikipedia -- and verify that you have at least five professional fights, and voila! You're in its system. Fighters will be evaluated and hired on a rolling basis.

If you don't want to be a fighter, you can still have fun commenting on the people who are putting their dreams on the line. Yes, every fighter-wannabe's profile is viewable, and even has a comment board.

Though this seems like a publicity stunt for the UFC -- and it may be -- it could still also find some talent that may have slipped through the cracks. They can also see if a fighter is popular enough to sell tickets before they ever offer a contract.

Emotional Aoki submits Beerbohm at Strikeforce

Japanese fight favorite Shinya Aoki started Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley with a bang on Saturday night in San Diego, submitting Lyle "Fancypants" Beerbohm in less than two minutes.

Despite a low, defensive stance, Aoki was able to take Beerbohm down early. Beerbohm had no takedown defense. Aoki then followed with a rear naked choke, switching it to a neck crank. After throwing a body triangle, he cranked Beerbohm's neck until he tapped at 1:33 in the first round.

Aoki,�one of two Japanese fighters on Strikeforce's main card,� was emotional as his name was announced as the winner. Because of the devastating events in Japan and training for his fight, Aoki has still not met his newborn child. He now gets to go home a winner on a four-fight win streak.

Beerbohm has lost his second bout in a row. He dropped a decision to Pat Healy in February and now has a record of 15-2.
